tie neck blouses and studded flats

Time to ditch the sweaters and prep yourself for bright and fun blouses! Baby, spring is coming! Ah, when it’s warm enough, you begin to wear you cute little blouses, layering it with your favorite, light cardigan. Some may say it’s a generic look, but not all are brave enough to pull off tie neck blouses. And just that, here’s my simple feminine look for charming the boys with a sweet appeal like flowers do with bees. 😉

Something effortless as a tie neck blouse creates an aura of innocence and sweetness. Am I the only person with this impression or do you feel that way too? Polyester is my second fabric of choice, after silk, when it comes to blouses. Silk is great, but it comes with a hefty price tag. Thus, I’m settling with polyester. The delicate and soft texture of the fabric allows the blouse to drape loosely and gracefully around my silhouette. Jeez, silhouette is a tough cookie to spell! I am not the biggest fan of form-fitting blouses because I prefer blouses that are more forgiving to the body like hiding muffin tops from your jeans after a full meal.

Now, let’s toss on a cardigan for when things get chilly at work. Who am I kidding? It is always cold at work. I prep for the worst, leaving a work sweater there and having a small, portable heater. Do y’all get this way working in an office or some sort like that? Where the company arctic blasts you, so you can’t get warm and sleepy at work?

Creating a feminine, sweet look with an edge. Adding a bright studded flats to a gracefully flowing tie neck blouse.

Oh, and these Valentino flats of mine. I LOVE the pop of red the flats give to this outfit, which some may consider dull or basic. But hey, this is why I am adding the shoes! The red demands attention, screaming LOOK HERE! And the studs… oh, the spiked studs speak for themselves. I love constructing a dynamic style with my articles of clothing, pulling looks from different characters. For example here, the blouse creates a feminine and soft look; contrarily, the red studded flats depict a loud and daring style. Maybe I think too much about my outfits, but I love to think there is a specific reason to every choice of clothing, revealing the stories behind them. xoxo

Please, don’t make me feel like a weirdo and share below your stories behind your clothes! Why do you pick what you wear? Or do you get dress in the dark? lol

I realize you are talking about studded flats but I am such a sucker for red pointy flats! They make any outfit pop. I am just waiting for the snow to be gone so I can wear mine again.

I don’t know that I think my outfits through quite that thoroughly (usually), but I definitely don’t dress in the dark, lol! On my average day, I’m in bootleg yoga pants with a t-shirt – that’s comfy and it goes well from working in bed to working on the couch to picking my kids up from school. It’s comfortable for working, cleaning, cooking, all the different aspects of my life – and I can wear it to the store without feeling embarrassed. But if I’m having a lunch out or something else like that, I tend to go with leggings or jeggings, boots, and a cute top. Or if I’m feeling dressy, it’s basic business casual with a skirt or dress and flats. I dress for the environment – but I do have my own little personality flares in it, as well.

Lol! I am a perfectionist to a fault. If it doesn’t make sense or there’s no sound reasoning, I will reject, reject, and reject! I wish my boyfriend could understand that. 🙂 Yes, I am the same way as well! I love leggings and knee high boots with a sweater or blouse long enough to cover my bum. However, moving back to Texas, it’s too hot to wear boots, so I’m stuck with jeans, flats and a nice top! COMFORT is my number one concern, which is why I rarely wear heels. Thank you for sharing. xoxo

Those flats are adorable. Unfortunately I have the flattest feet on the planet, so flats are torture to me… Happy Spring.

Aww, I have an issue with flats as well, but I have trained my feet to get used to them. My feet are extra wide, so they hurt for awhile until I truly break into the leather! They say, beauty is pain – and really pretty things are usually painful. 🙂
