7 helpful tips on War Robots from a female gamer

newer and better tips are HERE! (click for link)

Seriously, where have my days gone?? Oh, I know. I’ve been glued to my darn phone because of this application game my dearest nephew, Ethan, introduced me to! One day, I picked him up and took him to grandpa’s (my dad’s) house. While walking in, he went to grandpa asking for iPad and started playing War Robots. I sat around and hung out with him as he played the game. Suddenly, he yelled, “HELP ME!”

War Robots is one of the most addicting app game I have every played. There are always new challenges and fun competition. My reviews and tips from a girl.

He tossed the iPad into my laps asking for help. Once I began the game on the iPad, I never stopped playing since. After playing the game for an entire day, I introduced the game to my boyfriend. Now we spend “quality” time together, gaming online. Instead of staying up all night just talking on the phone, we stay on the phone, strategizing to defeat the opposing team.

What is War Robots, you may ask? Here’s their link for a quick synopsis. My advice is just to download the game and start playing it to learn than read about it. It’s just more fun that way. Plus, the best way to learn is through experiences.

Tip #1: Pick your account name wisely

I named my account “dearly dainty xo” [add me to your squad or clan if you’d like 🙂 ]. Pick wisely because your username appears above the battling robot for others to identify the different players. Because of this, I am certain the opposing robots single me out from my squad and always target me to shoot at! Even though all the robots are front and center, ALL OF THEM aim at my robot only to demolish my sweet baby!

“Maybe because you’re a girl. I would probably too…”  David emphasizes I am the target because I’m a female gamer [my name obviously gives away my gender], reassuring me that sexism is prevalence in gamers. It happened to me in Call of Duty Black Ops, as well, from my voice talking over the mic. Sorry, had to quickly rant about the unfairness I feel sometimes when playing video games. Oh you know how those silly boys cannot handle a girl beating them in video games. 😉 Okay, I am still a rookie in this game and my reviews/tips are only from a week’s experience. Do not hold me accountable for any “dumb” advices or tips.

Tip #2: Save your Gold

In this game, you will have silver, gold, and workshop points as money to purchase and/or upgrade your robots and equipment. Do not waste your gold on expediting any upgrade processes. Just learn patience and keep on battling while you’re upgrades are taking place. Use the gold to buy a slot or two so you can have more robots to battle with. After one dies, you’ll have more robots available to battle with instead of having to leave the battle or watch the battle continue without you!

Tip #3: Upgrade wisely

I have learned from my mistakes of spending so much time and money upgrading my starter robots to a higher levels, when I should’ve purchased stronger robots and upgrade only those! Like all those money upgrading the puny ones, I should’ve purchased a bigger one that is just as strong or stronger! When you have enough money saved up, change your robot up and go to the store and pick out a good robot to play with, considering the total health and speed of the robots. Also, the different perks each come with. Just click on the “?” to learn more about each robot.

Tip #4: Do your daily tasks

Every day, there are new daily tasks available for you to complete. There will be a description of each task, and the opportunity of earning gold for completing them! CHANGE your tasks wisely! You can change the daily tasks TWICE a day for free, then it’ll start charging you gold to change them.

I obviously was finger happy one day and kept clicking “change” without realizing my gold was going bye-bye! 🙁War Robots is one of the most addicting app game I have every played. There are always new challenges and fun competition. My reviews and tips from a girl.

Tip #5: Get in the action during battles

Ahh! You know how sometimes, you think just sitting back and not contributing to the win will still earn you points because your team won, but nope, not this one! YOU HAVE TO GO WHERE THE ACTION IS because you get what YOU earn! Your numbers of kills and captured beacons during a battle are important. However, the damage points are worth getting more, and somehow, I believe your level factors in with the damage points on the distribution on gold from victories. You can only earn gold if your team wins though! For example, even if you beasted in the battle and your team sucked, so y’all ultimately lose… Sorry, you’ll only be earning silvers for being on the losing team.

Being ranked 1st after a battle and earning 5 gold… while “Big Butter”, the boyfriend, is third, earning only 1 gold, lol!

Tip #6: Purchase as many WPs as possible

From my observations, I believe WPs are worth more than gold because the bad boy robots and equipments can only be purchased with the WPs. So be willing to buy as many WPs as possible with your silver or gold!

Tip #7: Add more friends & have fun

There you have it! My thoughts and opinions about War Robots. Take whatever point you want to take from this blog post; the most significant point is TRY IT! It’s really fun especially with more friends online. 🙂

I understand exactly what you’re saying about boys’ behaviour! I used to play CoD and of some of them just couldn’t handle being killed by a girl. So there were some inappropriate comments or they just tried to humiliate me by calling me a camper (which I wasn’t!). Girl power!:)

LOVE THIS COMMENT! Campers survive and still get headshots, so do you girl! xoxo
